SETsquared

SETsquared is a business incubation network and enterprise partnership formed in 2002 between six research-intensive UK universities: Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, and Surrey. Ranked as a world-leading university business incubator, it provides comprehensive support programs for technology startups and spin-outs. While it does not invest directly from its own fund, it plays an active role in the investment ecosystem by providing investor-readiness training, introductions to its network of angel investors and VCs, and hosting investment showcase events. Since its inception, it has supported over 5,000 entrepreneurs in raising over £5 billion in investment. In October 2024, the partnership announced plans with investment firm QantX to create a new, separate £300m investment vehicle to fund spin-outs from its partner universities.
