Sailing Capital is a private equity firm established in 2012, initiated by the Shanghai International Group (SIG). It is a market-oriented fund focused on cross-border investments, providing services for Chinese enterprises to conduct overseas investments and M&A. The firm's investment focus includes sectors such as technology, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and new consumption. Sailing Capital was the first major private equity fund on the global stage with its initial capital raised in Chinese Yuan (RMB). The firm's target assets under management is RMB 50 billion. As of June 2022, its AUM was over RMB 25 billion. It has invested in companies such as MGI and Impossible Foods.
