Tata Trusts

Tata Trusts is a collective of non-sectarian philanthropic organisations that own two-thirds of the stock holding of Tata Sons, the apex company of the Tata group. The wealth from this holding supports a wide variety of causes, institutions, and individuals across India. Through grant-making, direct implementation, and co-partnerships, the Trusts drive innovation in areas such as healthcare, education, natural resources management, rural livelihoods, and arts and culture. The first Trust was established in 1892 by Jamsetji Tata, and the collective has since played a pioneering role in Indian philanthropy.
