UC LAUNCH
Overview
UC LAUNCH is the University of California's leading startup accelerator, based at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. It is designed to transform early-stage startups from the UC system into fundable companies. The three-month, zero-equity program guides startups through a rigorous Lean Startup-focused curriculum, pairs them with experienced mentors, and culminates in a Demo Day where teams pitch for cash prizes. To be eligible, teams must have at least one UC student, faculty member, or alum. The accelerator runs two cohorts per year (Fall and Spring). Since its pivot to the accelerator model in 2015, its alumni companies have raised over $1.8 billion in follow-on funding.
