UC Investments

UC Investments is the investment office for the University of California system, managing the university's retirement, endowment, working capital, and cash assets. It invests across a wide range of asset classes, including public equity, fixed income, and private markets, to support the university's mission of education, research, and public service, and to provide benefits for current and retired employees. A significant portion of its public equity portfolio is passively managed in index funds. The office also has a stated focus on sustainable investing.
