BBSRC

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) is a non-departmental public body and the UK's largest public funder for non-medical bioscience research and training. Part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), it invests in research within universities and strategically-funded institutes to advance scientific knowledge, promote economic growth, and improve quality of life. Its focus areas include food security, sustainable agriculture, bioenergy, and industrial biotechnology. BBSRC provides funding through grants, studentships, and fellowships.
