University of Waterloo Problem Lab

An initiative within the University of Waterloo that is designed to help innovators and entrepreneurs identify, analyze, and understand the depth and complexity of significant problems before creating solutions. It runs programs and competitions, such as the Quantum Valley Investments® Problem Pitch Competition, to award grant funding for research and development to teams that best demonstrate their understanding of a problem.
