U.S. Trade and Development Agency

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is an independent U.S. government agency that advances economic development and U.S. commercial interests in developing and middle-income countries. It links U.S. businesses to export opportunities by funding project preparation activities, such as feasibility studies and technical assistance, and partnership-building activities for priority infrastructure projects. The agency provides grant funding to overseas project sponsors, who in turn select U.S. firms to perform the funded activities. Its focus sectors include energy, transportation, telecommunications, and the environment.
