Ministry of Science and Technological Development of Montenegro

The Ministry of Science and Technological Development is a government body of Montenegro responsible for creating policy and an environment for the development of the scientific research community and innovation. It invests in research and innovation by implementing innovation policy, encouraging the development of IT products and services, and developing innovation infrastructure. The ministry provides funding through co-financing national scientific research projects and other support instruments. Its operational activities are often carried out in partnership with or through related entities like the Innovation Fund of Montenegro and the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, which were established with the government's support to directly fund and support startups and innovative companies. The ministry has undergone restructuring, at times being merged with the Ministry of Education.
