State of Wyoming

The State of Wyoming is a sovereign U.S. state that engages in investment and economic development activities through several government bodies. Its investment arms include the Wyoming Business Council, which manages the Wyoming Venture Capital (WYVC) fund, and the Wyoming Energy Authority, which provides grants and funding for energy projects. The Wyoming State Treasurer's Office manages the state's sovereign wealth funds, including the Permanent Wyoming Mineral Trust Fund. The WYVC fund, established with federal funds from the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), makes direct equity investments in Wyoming-based companies and also acts as a Limited Partner (LP) in other venture capital funds. The Wyoming Energy Authority provides funding like the 'Energy Matching Funds' to support the development of energy projects within the state.
