Zinc
Overview
Zinc is an early-stage, mission-driven investor and venture builder based in London, founded in 2017. The firm empowers founders to create innovative, science-led companies that address significant challenges concerning the health of people and the planet. Zinc operates through a venture builder program, where it selects individuals, helps them find co-founders, and provides a stipend, expertise, and coaching to build new companies from scratch. It also makes direct pre-seed and seed investments in existing startups aligned with its mission. Key investment sectors include HealthTech, Climate Tech, deep tech, and other science-based solutions. In May 2022, Zinc announced a new £28 million fund to back its venture builder programs and invest in the companies created.
