Changelog

Caplight now features the most comprehensive and accurate set of 'comparables' for every VC-backed private company. Comps can be used to quickly understand the space a company operates in, who the other key players are, how a given company is positioned, and more.

We've taken our time in building this feature to get it right -- too often other data platforms have the wrong set of comparables for a given target company. We built out a comps model and iterated on it for months, eventually landing a best-in-class, battle-tested solution fit for institutional investors.

The new dataset is available on platform company pages and via our new Comps API.

Today, we're adding long-awaited private company financials to Caplight. This new dataset includes company revenue figures, profit, projections, and other financial metrics on over 100 companies.

Today we're (finally!) introducing a formal changelog to our platform and website.

The pace of our feature development is about to rapidly accelerate. We hope this Changelog allows customers and followers of Caplight keep track of the new features and enhancements we make in the coming years.
