African Impact Initiative

A Canadian non-profit organization that empowers young African entrepreneurs through its annual "African Impact Challenge." It provides funding, mentorship, and training to early-stage, technology-enabled startups. The organization runs the challenge in different African countries each year, with winning teams receiving up to $25,000 CAD in grant funding or as a SAFE investment and participating in an incubator program in Toronto. The initiative was incorporated as a nonprofit in September 2018, after starting as a student group at the University of Toronto in 2016, and launched its first challenge in 2020.
