Overview
The LIFE Programme is the European Union's funding instrument for the environment and climate action. It aims to contribute to the implementation, updating, and development of EU environmental and climate policy by co-financing projects with European added value. For the 2021-2027 period, the programme is structured around four sub-programmes: Nature and Biodiversity, Circular Economy and Quality of Life, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, and Clean Energy Transition. The programme is managed by the European Commission, with implementation delegated to the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).
