French Tech Seed

French Tech Seed is a €400 million French government fund managed by Bpifrance, designed to leverage private investment in technology startups that are less than three years old, with a particular focus on DeepTech. Launched in 2018, the fund operates on a co-investment basis, where for every euro raised from private investors, the fund can contribute up to two euros in the form of convertible bonds. Startups are identified and qualified by a network of certified partners ("prescripteurs labellisés") before receiving funding. The program targets companies in the post-maturation or pre-seed stage.
