Golden Asia Fund
Overview
Golden Asia Fund is a series of venture capital funds that act as a bridge between Japan and Taiwan. It is jointly managed by Mitsubishi UFJ Capital (MUCAP) of Japan and the Industrial Technology Investment Corporation (ITIC) of Taiwan. The fund aims to combine the advanced technological capabilities of Japanese startups with the cost-effective production and global sales channels of Taiwanese companies, particularly targeting expansion into mainland China and the ASEAN region. The fund series invests in a wide range of industries and growth stages. The first fund was initiated in 2011. Subsequent funds, Golden Asia Fund II and Golden Asia Fund III, have also been established. Golden Asia Fund III, which raised US$49.5 million, focuses on semiconductors, green energy, and healthcare, among other fields.
