National Security Strategic Investment Fund

The National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF) is the UK Government's corporate venturing arm for pioneering dual-use technologies, established as a joint initiative with the British Business Bank. It invests commercially alongside other investors in innovative start-ups whose advanced technologies have potential applications in both the private sector and the UK's National Security and Defence community. NSSIF makes direct investments and also invests in aligned venture capital funds. Its focus areas include AI, Data, Automation, Robotics, Quantum Technologies, Semiconductors, Space, Flight, Future Telecommunications, and Engineering Biology.
