Overview
Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) is a government initiative by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to provide financial assistance to early-stage startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization. The scheme operates with a corpus of INR 945 Crore, disbursed over four years starting from 2021-22. It provides funds to eligible incubators, which in turn distribute it to startups. Startups can receive up to ₹20 Lakhs as a grant and up to ₹50 Lakhs as investment through convertible debentures or debt instruments.
