Overview

The Wolverine Venture Fund (WVF) is one of the world's first student-run venture capital funds, founded in 1997 at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. It is an evergreen fund that invests in early-stage companies, typically in priced Series Seed, A, or B rounds, alongside established lead VC firms. The fund focuses on sectors including SaaS, Biotech, Health Tech, Advanced Materials, and other emerging technologies. Managed by approximately 28 MBA students with oversight from an advisory board of professional venture capitalists and a faculty director, the fund's dual mission is to provide students with hands-on investment experience while achieving returns on capital.
