Perceptive Xontogeny Ventures

Perceptive Xontogeny Ventures (PXV) is the early-stage venture capital strategy of Perceptive Advisors, managed in partnership with the life sciences accelerator Xontogeny. The strategy focuses on investing in early-stage life science companies, primarily leading Series A and participating in Series B financings. The PXV platform is comprised of at least two funds: PXV Fund I, a 2018 vintage fund with $210 million, and PXV Fund II, which closed in 2021 with $515 million. The funds target companies developing life sciences technologies across a broad range of therapeutic areas, with an emphasis on drug technologies. The investment thesis is to advance products from preclinical stages through to clinical proof-of-concept.
